Ekuru Aokot instructed to conduct a DNA test
A lady has sued Thirdway Alliance Party Leader Ekuru Aokot over claims of neglecting her and her baby whom they sired Ekurutogether in 2017.
According to Beatrice Kikunga, she had cohabitated with the Punguza Mzigo proponent since 2011, and together they had sired a child who was now three years old.
“We stayed together since 2011 and we were blessed with a child in August 2017. Our relationship was steady until early 2018 when Aukot neglected us and declined to take responsibility for the minor despite knowing that the child has to be provided with basic needs,” Kikunga lamented
Beatrice was demanding Ksh 100,000 monthly upkeep from Aukot to cater for a house help, entertainment, utilities, rent, and the child’s basic needs (food, shelter, and clothing).
The magistrate directed Aukot to conduct a DNA test for the child on July 7 at Lancet Laboratories and present them to court on Friday,24th July
“The parties will share the cost and the unsuccessful party shall refund the successful party their half within 7 days of receipts of results,” the magistrate ruled.
Aukot was also being sued for contempt of court after he failed to conduct a DNA test on February 2020 as directed by the court.
Beatrice who claimed of recently being locked out of her house over rent arrears stated that she was jobless and struggling to raise the kid alone while his father was in a position to.
Aukot is married to Lorna Wanjiru Mathenge and together they have two daughters, Naro Njeri Aukot and Alakara Muthoni Aukot.
