Kilifi County is located on the Coast of Kenya which is basically in Mombasa. Its capital is Kilifi town which has an estimated population of, 122,899 according to the 2009 census.
The County is mostly known for its beautiful beach and for the ruins of Mnarani, including mosques and tombs.
Kilifi County was formed back in 2019 as a result of the merging of Kilifi district and Malindi District. The County has a population of 1,109,735.
The county is represented in Parliament by a total of seven legislators, one woman representative and a senator. Kilifi county has 35 wards and each has a representative.
Major Economic activities in Kilifi County are Tourism and Fishing. Tourism because the place is beautiful and one of the major tourist attractions in the country and fishing because of the ocean. Dairy and crop farming also exists in the County.
