Mudavadi Rejected Uhuru’s Job Offer
Amani National Congress(ANC) party leader Musalia Mudavadi has revealed that he turned down a job offer from President Uhuru Kenyatta.
Speaking on 5th July from the home of Nambale Member of Parliament in Busia County, Mudavadi also restated about his presidential ambitions.
Mudavadi noted that Uhuru and his team have messed up an economy that former President Mwai Kibaki worked so hard to build and there was no way he would accept being part.
“They have messed the economy that former President Mwai Kibaki had streamlined. Now they want to involve us in their government so that we are seen to be part of the mess. I cannot accept to be part of bad leadership,” noted Mudavadi.
Mudavadi went ahead and stated that he would not repeat a mistake he did in 2002, which was abandoning his presidential ambitions and supporting President Uhuru Kenyatta.
“We moved around in choppers campaigning across the country. This made me lose the Sabatia Parliamentary seat which I had won for several years,” Mudavadi stated.
Lugari Member of Parliament Ayub Savula also restated that Musalia Mudavadi was not going to form a coalition with Deputy President William Ruto because he was also aiming for the top position as well.
He concluded by condemning the harassment of some Western Kenya leaders on 5th July who were arrested at a petrol station in Sabatia, Butere.
“Strange things are happening that are an assault to democracy. Because of political stands, people are being threatened by the police, others are tear-gassed while others are being called to record statements, this is not the Kenya we want,” noted Mudavadi
