During the Mashujaa day celebrating that happened last Saturday in Kakamega opposition leader Raila Odinga landed a really plum job. The job is with the African Union where he will be tasked with overseeing infrastructure development.
“The high representative will work to support and strengthen efforts of the commission’s relevant departments and those of the planning and coordinating agency of the new partnership for Africa’s development. It’s in line with the framework of the program for infrastructure development in Africa endorsed by the Assembly of the Union in January 2012,” explained African Union Commission Chairperson Moussa Faki Mahamat
Given that he will be working in different countries Faki has gone on to say that Raila is going to have at least five offices in different African countries. Of course, his main office will be in Nairobi then the rest will be in Ethiopia, South Africa, Nigeria and Egypt where he will discharge his duties as AU’s High Representative for Infrastructure Development in Africa.
