Kabogo Offers Ksh 500K to Kenyans Stuck in Dubai
Former Kiambu Governor William Kabogo has been moved by stories of Kenyans stuck in Dubai and has decided to come to their aid.
Kabogo has decided to offer financial assistance to help them Jet back to the country safely.
While speaking with popular comedian Jalangoo, Kabogo decided to give financial aid of Ksh500,000.
He went ahead and stated how sad he was for those Kenyans who were hungry and sleeping outside while in Dubai.
“It is painful to see Kenyans suffering abroad and the government should send one Dreamliner to bring them back home. They are jobless and have nowhere to turn to. “One of them texted me and told me that they had slept hungry for three days. I believe our ambassador can reach out to Dubai leaders and organize for Kenyans to be granted food and shelter,” Kabogo stated.
He went further and urged former Prime Minister Raila Odinga to break the silence and address the issues Kenyans were going through.
“Of late, Raila doesn’t pick my calls. People will claim that I went to be sanitized if I go to see visit him at Capitol Hill, Nairobi offices. Why is he silent when Kenyans are suffering? He has a voice that can be used to push the government to act. Who else can swear himself in as President in Kenya and not face the government’s wrath?” Kabogo added.
This comes days after Mvita Member of Parliament Abdulswamad Nassir decided to come to the aid of close to 120 students who had been stuck in Sudan.
Most of the students had gone to Sudan on a sponsorship basis and since COVID 19 pandemic came, there hasn’t been any learning going on and they had pleaded to the government to help them come back home.
