Protestors Storm Kalembe Ndile’s Hotel
Angry protestors stormed into former Kibwezi West member of Parliaments hotel in Katelembo Machakos days after he exposed his phone conversation with Nairobi Governor Mike Mbuvi Sonko.
According to the protestors, the hotel had been set-up in road reserve and they demanded the re-opening of the road.
The protestors who were majorly bodaboda guys claimed that the hotel had closed the road forcing them to use alternative routes.
“Today are demanding for our rights as Katelembu residents, we as bodaboda operators are using a longer route to ferry people and there is a shorter route. We urge Kalembe to open the route and to stop bribing surveyors who were supposed to come yesterday but failed after you bribed them,” stated one of the protestors.
They claimed to be in possession of maps that showed that the hotel had been set-up in a road reserve.
According to the bodaboda guys, the use of alternative roads had made their motorbikes break down due to poor roads.
On Tuesday Kalembe Ndile revealed that he would sue Sonko after the two clashed over an alleged Ksh6.5 million debt.
The former Kibwezi West MP leaked to the public a recorded phone conversation between him and the governor where he demanded payment.
Ndile claimed that the debts included hotel and construction services, furniture supply, among other services offered by him to the governor.
